If you are visiting San Sebastián by car, it is important to be aware of the regulations regarding the Low Emission Zone (ZFE) in the city center. This measure aims to improve air quality and reduce polluting traffic.
What is the ZBE?
The Low Emission Zone (ZFE) restricts access for certain vehicles in parts of the city center of San Sebastián. Currently, vehicles with environmental labels B, C, ECO, and ZERO can circulate freely. Vehicles without an environmental label or registered abroad may require prior authorization.
Who needs to request permission?
More specifically, they must manage authorizations:
- Vehicles registered abroad.
- Vehicles without an environmental label.
- Vehicles in a special situation regulated by the city council.
Important information for our clients
If you come to Sanse Holidays by car, we recommend that you check before your arrival if your vehicle can access the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) and obtain the corresponding permit in advance to avoid possible fines.
Fines for unauthorized access can reach €200.
