Anyone visiting San Sebastián by car should be aware of the regulations of the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in the city center. This measure aims to improve air quality and reduce environmentally harmful traffic.
What is the ZBE?
The Low Emission Zone (LEZ) restricts access for certain vehicles to some areas of the city center of San Sebastián. Vehicles with environmental labels B, C, ECO, and ZERO can currently drive without restrictions. Vehicles without an environmental label or with foreign license plates may require prior authorization.
Who needs to obtain a permit?
In particular, they must manage authorization:
- Vehicles with foreign registration.
- Vehicles without an environmental label.
- Vehicles in special situations regulated by the City Council.
