If you are going to visit Donostia / San Sebastián by car, it is important that you know the regulations of the Low Emission Zone (ZBE), active in the city center. This measure aims to improve air quality and reduce polluting traffic.
What is the LEZ?
The ZBE limits the access of certain vehicles to some areas of the center of Donostia. Currently, vehicles with environmental labels B, C, ECO, and ZERO can circulate without restrictions. Vehicles without an environmental sticker or with foreign license plates may need prior authorization.
Who must request permission?
They must especially manage authorization:
- Vehicles with foreign license plates.
- Vehicles without an environmental sticker.
- Vehicles in special situations regulated by the City Council.
Important information for our guests
